The Original SoLux task lamp continues to be a favorite among avid readers, hobbyists, students, and professionals such as photographers and graphic artists.

The reason why the SoLux Task Lamp is so effective in reducing eye strain is due to the interaction between your eye and daylight. Your pupil naturally contracts when exposed to daylight. A smaller pupil enables the eye's lens to focus light more accurately on the retina. Objects look crisper and clearer as a result. Colors also look true due to the full and even spectrum present in daylight.

In order for the eye to respond in such a way, the light source needs to replicate daylight accurately at each and every wavelength across the visible spectrum (400nm-700nm).     • The lamp sits on top of your desk to deliver a patch of daylight where you need it. This modern task lamp provides the user with an extremely wide range of motion. The "cool adjust" wire loop handle shown above allows you to point the head anywhere you like without having to touch the head which gets hot.

    The SoLux lamp comes with a SoLux 4700K 50 watt bulb for optimal daylight illumination. The built-in diffuser provides a uniform beam spread. The base measures 8.5" in diameter. Adjustable arm reaches out 3 feet or raises up 3 feet. The shade measures 5" wide and 4" deep. An enclosed clamp allows you to mount your SoLux task lamp to a table or shelf providing extra flexibility of use.

    I thought you would like to know that the lamp you sent was favored above the other four in our display at the ARVO convention in Ft. Lauderdale (May '05). Several hundred doctors stopped by our booth during the week. A large percentage of them commented on how comfortable the lamp was for their eyes and how it emitted the whitest light of all.
