CAL-IN is pleased to present SOLUX, a patented light source that provides an unparalleled replication of
natural daylight. No other light source in the world matches daylight
more closely than SoLux. SoLux is used in many of the world's top
museums including the Van Gogh Museum. SoLux is also an environmentally
friendly light source. SoLux is more energy efficient than incandescent
sources and does not contain mercury found in fluorescent lights
sources.
SoLux is a low voltage (12 volt) MR-16 bulb (2 pin socket) that reproduces the
full color spectrum of natural daylight with ultra-low UV and IR.
It is available in 35 and 50 watts, 4 different color temperature
(3500K, 4100K, 4700K, & 5000K) and 4 beamspreads (10, 17, 24, 36).
The SoLux
"Black Back"
bulb. The spectral output of the black back bulb is pure SoLux
daylight, with the added benefit of no light coming out the back.
Perfect for gimbal mount or open back fixture design.
Occasionally,
the black back bulb may emit an slight odor, when used for the first
time. This is caused by the black back paint annealing. This odor will
only last for the first 30 minutes of use and then stop.
