Description: Insects can be devastating to library and museum collections. Silverfish can attack bookbindings; clothes moths can leave textiles in tatters. Monitoring your collection can alert you when pests first appear so you can take appropriate action. This kit was designed specifically to trap the insects most likely to be found in museums. Package Includes: The pest monitoring kit contains full-color photographic identification chart, instructions, and the following: Instructions: To use monitor traps: Step 1: Mark a floor plan of your institution with doors, windows, water and heat sources and furniture, to identify likely places of insect activity. Step 2: Mark the floor plan with the sites for trap placement. Step 3: Date and label the traps and put them in place. Step 4: Inspect and replace traps on a regular basis, keeping detailed records of findings. Accessories: Individual traps and lures are available and sold separately. Ten per package. |
